John McAuliffe is a retired partner and co-founder Wiedner & McAuliffe. Mr. McAuliffe began his legal practice in 1956. He had extensive experience as trial counsel for several casualty insurance companies before shifting his focus to workers’ compensation and employer’s liability defense.

Industry Contributions

Mr. McAuliffe held numerous professional leadership positions throughout his career, including President of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and Chair of the Chicago Bar Association.

Mr. McAuliffe was also a frequent lecturer in Continuing Legal Education programs for the Chicago Bar Association and other organizations, instructing on various topics, including workers’ compensation trial procedure.
