Elena is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Defense Practice in Wiedner & McAuliffe’s Chicago office. Elena defends a wide array of employers in workers’ compensation matters, including private businesses and public entities. She uses her knowledge and experience in both workers’ compensation and litigation practices to develop resolution strategies tailored to address her clients’ individual business concerns. A seasoned litigator, Elena has tried over 50 cases before a judge, arbitrator, or jury. A strong background in appellate work enables her to vigorously represent her clients even after trial is completed.  Elena has represented clients in federal district  court as a member of the Trial Bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and is a member  of U.S. Supreme Court Bar.

Beyond her litigation work, Elena enjoys working with her clients to develop educational programming to support their claim mitigation practices and aid in the claims resolution process.

Outside of the office, Elena serves on the Chicago Public Library Foundation Associate Board and volunteers with the Junior League of Chicago and the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.
