Karla V. Rodriguez is an experienced defense attorney concentrating her practice on advising employers, insurance carriers and third party administrators throughout all phases of litigation, from the initial evaluation and strategy analysis through trial. Notably, she has worked with clients to achieve early resolution of workers’ compensation claims and has developed effective strategies to mitigate high exposure on complex matters. Additionally, she has drafted several winning motions, granting summary judgment and dismissal of claims against corporate defendants in cases dealing with contractual indemnity and commercial leasing.

Karla has co-authored articles advising employers on best strategies to handle current legal issues for the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association publication. Her writing on employment law issues has also been published in the Illinois Public Employee Relations Report, where she also served as an editor.

Karla earned her law degree and Certificate in Labor & Employment Law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was the recipient of a Merit Scholarship.
