Janet is a partner in the Workers’ Compensation Defense practice and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. She is based in Wiedner & McAuliffe’s Chicago office. Janet represents employers and businesses across many industries including construction, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, hospitality, transportation and distribution.

Janet favors a creative defense tailored to her clients’ specific industry. With an outside the box thought process, she often pursues less traditional approaches to matters while keeping the clients’ best interests at the forefront. She understands that ongoing communication is critical, and works closely with her clients to determine the most effective strategy to close cases expeditiously.

A natural leader, Janet oversees and mentors a team of attorneys in the firm. Janet’s presence in these endeavors ensures the seamless representation of clients with interests throughout the Midwest. She also serves as Special Assistant State’s Attorney for DuPage County, counseling the County of DuPage on workers’ compensation claims brought by county employees.

Janet frequently leads training seminars for clients on legal updates and the development of case management strategies. She enjoys presenting best practices on developing areas of workers’ compensation law that are specific to each employer and type of business. Janet is a former co-editor of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section quarterly newsletter.

An avid Cubs fan, Janet also likes to travel with her family and play the piano.
