Mary is a partner in the Workers’ Compensation Defense practice and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Based in Wiedner & McAuliffe’s Chicago office, she also routinely works out of the St. Louis office.  Rated an AV Preeminent Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell, Mary defends employers and business in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation. She represents clients in a broad range of industries including trucking, retail, manufacturing and school districts.

A skilled and aggressive litigator, Mary has handled more than 50 trials. She takes a practical approach to her cases, and has a knack for early resolution assessment. Mary’s depth of litigation knowledge affords her a larger picture view of all matters, understanding when it’s best to settle or move forward with a trial.

Mary was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list in 2014. She was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the area of workers’ compensation from 2013-2016.

Mary serves on the Board of Directors for IMD Guest House in Chicago and has co-chaired the organization’s bi-annual fundraisers. IMD Guest House provides affordable accommodations to patients and families seeking medical treatments away from home.

While attending College of Charleston, Mary competed as a Division I Volleyball Player, earning All-Conference and All-Southern Region honors. She was inducted into the 2018 Class of the College of Charleston Athletics Hall of Fame.
