Kyle is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Defense practice in Wiedner & McAuliffe’s Chicago office.
Kyle graduated from the University of Iowa in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics & Astronomy and with a minor in Mathematics. Kyle was a National Merit Scholar, a Presidential Scholar, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2012 where he was an Honors Scholar. During law school Kyle participated in a variety of legal clinics and internships, including several public interest positions. He received his license to practice law in Illinois in November of 2012.
Kyle joined Wiedner & McAuliffe in February 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Kyle spent three years at the firm of Gardiner Koch Weisberg & Wrona practicing general civil litigation followed by two years as an in-house Workers’ Compensation Insurance Defense attorney employed by Liberty Mutual. Kyle has experience serving a variety of Workers’ Compensation Defense clients including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers across a wide array of industries such as airlines, retailers, manufactures, trucking companies, logistics companies, construction, demolition & maintenance companies, medical providers, staffing agencies, and others. Kyle has brought 19 cases to trial and has consistently achieved significant cost savings for his clients. He routinely handles high exposure and high complexity matters and is well versed in Medicare/MSA requirements and COVID-19 claims.
Kyle enjoys utilizing his background in science. He has had several articles published on environmental law topics and previously volunteered for the ISBA’s Environmental Law Section Council.
