While attending Millikin University, Khris was a member of both the football and wrestling teams. He attended the John Marshall Law School for his Juris Doctorate and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013. At John Marshall, Khris was an active member in the John Marshall Law Review and Phi Delta Phi. He also received the CALI award for highest grade in his class in Evidence, Consumer Law, and Contracts.
